Pubic Water Well for Bungamati

When the location was picked the contractors preparing to dig the water well.

Problem

Earthquake damaged and destroyed most of pipelines in Bungamati area in Nepal. That caused serious water shortage in the area. Many people were struggling to get water for their daily consumption and even for animals. Sometimes wait for days or even traveling long distance to get water.

Solution

(one of several projects) Build a 30 foot deep water well, install an electric pump and pump water to a storage tank. Install two taps so that everybody can fill their buckets easily.

Project status: Mission accomplished

Since the Earthquake the Bungamati community is going through serious water problems. Water shortage has caused unimaginable hardships to many people in this area in Nepal.

Recently we built a public water well to ease that problem. This is one of our several projects that we have already completed to ease the suffering of the people due to water shortage. Many people are already using the community water well.
